Birding in the Skykomish Area
The Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is home to a rich variety of habitats supporting more than 190 bird species—including those spotted around the town of Skykomish. Bird checklists are available at the Skykomish Ranger Station (Milepost 50).
One particularly rare visitor, the Crested Caracara, made a surprise appearance in Skykomish during the summer of 2015. A remarkable sighting!
